Baseband transmission and broadband transmission are two different types of signal transmission methods used in communication systems. They differ based on the way they utilize the transmission medium to carry signals. Here's a comparison between base band and broadband transmission:

Definition: Baseband transmission sends digital signals over the transmission medium without modulating them onto carrier frequencies. It directly uses the original signal (baseband signal) to transmit data. Definition: Broadband transmission involves modulating the original signal onto multiple carrier frequencies before transmission over the communication medium.
Signal Type: Baseband transmission is used for transmitting digital signals or analog signals that have been converted into digital format (e.g., through analog-to-digital conversion). Signal Type: Broadband transmission is used for transmitting analog signals or digital signals modulated onto carrier frequencies.
Frequency Range: Baseband signals occupy the entire frequency range from 0 Hz (DC) up to the highest frequency component present in the signal. Frequency Range: Broadband signals are spread across a wide frequency range and occupy multiple frequency bands.
